items: 2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup light corn
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
Heat stove top to 260 degrees. in a saucepan combine sugar, corn
syrup, salt and water. cook to a hard-ball stage, stirring only until sugar dissolves.
Meanwhile, beat egg whites to stiff peaks. gradually pour syrup over
eggwhites while beating at high speed with a mixer. add vanilla and beat until cany holds its shape, about 4 to 5 minutes.
quickly drop from a teaspoon onto wax paper and let cool. mmmm how devine!
