Beer batter apple rings

items: 1 cup flour
1 cup light beer
1/2 cup lemon
juice
2 tblsp brown
sugar
4 apples, peeled cored
and cut into rings
oil for frying
In a bowl whisk together beer, flour and salt until smooth. cover and
let stand for 1 hour. in another bowl combine lemon juice and brown sugar. on cookie sheet arrange apple rings. pour lemon
sugar mixture over them. cover and let stand for 1 hour, turning them once and patting them dry. in deep fryer or large skillet
heat 1 1/2 inches of oil to 375 degrees. dip rings in batter and fry for four minutes. drain on paper towel and enjoy!
